Sri Lanka, March 5 -- President Ranil Wickremesinghe says that the Parliament has enacted 42 new laws over the past 14 months to propel the country's economic transformation. Addressing a gathering at the "What's New" dialogue on Legal Reforms with young legal professionals, the President emphasized the crucial role of these legislative changes in shaping the nation's future.

Highlighting the necessity for further legal reforms, President Wickremesinghe emphasized the need to pass an additional 62 laws through Parliament. He assured that if these bills cannot be realized in the current parliamentary session, they will be reintroduced in subsequent sessions for consideration and approval.
