Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- Parliament convenes today (03) for the first of three scheduled sitting days this week.

Official business under standing orders will occupy the first half-hour from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Today's agenda focuses on debating regulations introduced under the Telecommunications Act.

The schedule continues on Thursday with the second reading debate of the Institute of Real Estate Professionals Bill. Friday's session remains reserved for the discussion of private members' motions.
