Sri Lanka, June 8 -- The Tourism Development Authority has decided to temporarily suspend paramotoring, a popular tourist attraction, on the Bentota and Aluthgama beaches.

Speaking to Hiru News, Tourism Development Authority Chairman Buddhika Hewawasam stated that this temporary decision was made due to complaints received from local residents and hotels.

While Sri Lanka has already welcomed over one million tourists this year, attracted by its natural beauty and coastal experiences, the paramotoring activity, popular with both local and international visitors, has faced issues.
