Srilanka, Dec. 1 -- The Pakistan Navy's PNS Saif joined Sri Lanka's disaster response efforts following the devastating floods caused by Cyclonic Storm Ditwah.
A Harbin Z-9EC helicopter, which was on board PNS Saif after its participation in the International Fleet Review 2025 off Colombo, was quickly deployed for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions.
At the request of and in coordination with Sri Lankan authorities, the helicopter flew over flood-affected residential areas in Kotika.
It delivered HADR packages-including food, water, and essential supplies-to stranded families perched on the rooftops of flooded homes.
