Sri Lanka, Dec. 19 -- The Criminal Investigation Department informed the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today (19) that a pistol-type firearm, two T-56 magazines, and seventy rounds of T-56 ammunition, allegedly given by Koralagamage Mandinu Padmasiri Perera alias Kehelbaddara Padme to one of his close associates, have been recovered.

The suspect is currently being detained and questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

This was disclosed before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama.

Submitting a further "B" report related to the incident, investigating officers informed the court of these developments.
