Sri Lanka, Jan. 23 -- An investigation by Hiru CIA exposed a fraudulent overtime scheme involving certain female employees at the Department for Registration of Persons in Suhurupaya, Battaramulla. While citizens, including the elderly and the sick, wait in long queues from the early morning hours to obtain their identification cards, these employees were found to be exploiting the system.
The investigation revealed that some staff members arrive at Gate A-an entrance reserved for employees-as early as 5:30 AM while still dressed in home attire.
