Sri Lanka, Dec. 14 -- The official death toll from the impact of Cyclone Ditwah has been recorded at 640, with the number of missing persons now standing at 194.

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) announced that 83,361 individuals remain displaced and are currently sheltered in 845 safe centres.

Meanwhile, the National Building Research Institute (NBRI) announced that the landslide warnings imposed on the Badulla, Kandy, Matale, Nuwara Eliya, Kurunegala, Kegalle, and Ratnapura districts were further extended until 4pm of December 14.
