Sri Lanka, Jan. 31 -- The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has revealed that 3,065 Sri Lankans are among more than 1.4 million illegal immigrants slated for deportation under the new Trump administration. The deportation list includes individuals from various countries residing in the U.S. illegally.

As of November 24, 2024, the document from ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) shows that 1,445,549 noncitizens, including 3,065 Sri Lankans, are on ICE's non-detained docket with final orders of removal. The U.S. Government has requested foreign governments to confirm the citizenship of noncitizens and facilitate their return in a timely manner.
