Sri Lanka, Feb. 21 -- Police inspected 29,165 individuals yesterday (20) alone under a crime and drug prevention program.

Officers arrested 584 individuals on suspicion during these operations.

Among those detained, 18 suspects directly linked to crimes were identified, according to police statements.

Additionally, authorities apprehended 249 day-warrant suspects and 130 open-warrant suspects.

Police also arrested 286 drunk drivers and 57 individuals for reckless driving.
