Sri Lanka, June 19 -- More than 26,775 dengue cases and 14 dengue-related deaths have been reported across Sri Lanka in the first six months of this year.

Community Medical Specialist Dr. Prashila Samaraweera from the National Dengue Control Unit stated this during a press conference at the Health Promotion Bureau on June 18.

She added that the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Eastern provinces are reporting the highest numbers of dengue patients.
