Sri Lanka, June 24 -- More than 200 foreign nationals who escaped cybercrime centres in eastern Myanmar are now stranded at the Thai border, according to foreign media reports. These criminal networks have been operating for years, forcing victims into illegal online scams against their will.
Despite the challenges, approximately 8,000 individuals have so far been rescued from these camps. The stranded foreigners are awaiting further assistance to return to their respective home countries.
