Sri Lanka, May 5 -- 1,267 complaints have been filed with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption in the first three months of this year.

From January to March, 24 raids were carried out across the island, resulting in the arrest of 20 individuals from 10 institutions including the Ministry of Education, Sri Lanka Police, Labour Office, and the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Among the officials arrested are 06 police officers, a principal, and a public health inspector.
