Sri Lanka, May 17 -- Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says that the opposition will take appropriate measures within the democratic framework to establish power in local government bodies where they hold a majority.

He made this statement during a meeting at the Mallikarama housing complex in Colombo, as part of a program to inquire about problems faced by residents of various areas.

He also focused on the problems faced by the residents of the housing complex during the meeting.
