Sri Lanka, June 4 -- Dr. Ananda Wijewickrama, Chairman of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA), has affirmed that there are no issues with the immunoglobulin drug recently imported from India and supplied to hospitals.
In an interview with Hiru News, he further clarified that the immunoglobulin vaccine procured during former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella's tenure and the recently imported immunoglobulin vaccine belong to two separate batches with no connection between them.
Hiru News had reported at 6:55 PM on May 31, not about the immunoglobulin drug supplied to hospitals during Keheliya Rambukwella's time as Health Minister, but about the immunoglobulin drug recently imported from an Indian company.
