Sri Lanka, Aug. 11 -- The submission of the opposition's joint no-confidence motion against Deputy Minister of Defense, retired Major General Aruna Jayasekara, has been postponed until tomorrow (12).

MP Ajith P. Perera of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya stated that the motion is now scheduled to be submitted to the Speaker's office in Parliament tomorrow afternoon.

The opposition had previously announced their intention to submit the motion today (11).

However, according to MP Perera, the postponement was necessary because the Speaker is attending an event in the Polonnaruwa area.
