Sri Lanka, April 23 -- Nineteen complaints related to the upcoming local government elections have been filed in the past 24 hours.
According to the Police Media Division, these include four criminal complaints and fifteen complaints of election law violations.
Six people have been arrested in connection with these complaints.
Since March 3, a total of 260 complaints have been filed, comprising 58 criminal complaints and 202 complaints of election law violations.
In connection with these complaints, 23 candidates and 92 supporters have been arrested.
The Police Media Division further reports that the total number of vehicles seized pertaining to these incidents is now 21.
