Sri Lanka, Jan. 31 -- N.B.M. Ranathunga has resigned as the Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority, citing personal reasons in his resignation letter.

He has submitted his resignation to the Secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing Development.
