Sri Lanka, May 11 -- The Sri Lanka rugby team was defeated by the New Zealand Under-85kg side in the second leg of the Sir Graham Henry Trophy yesterday.
The match, held yesterday (11) at the Racecourse Stadium, concluded with a 32-6 victory for the visitors.
New Zealand demonstrated control of possession and territory for much of the encounter, securing the series 2-0.
Skipper Jarred Percival scored two of their five tries in the first half, establishing a 17-3 lead at halftime.
Sri Lanka managed to score through two penalties from Tarinda Ratwatte and a drop goal.
However, they were unable to capitalise on several try-scoring opportunities.
