SriLanka, Jan. 27 -- New regulations targeting child cybercrimes, a formal Child Rights Act, and legislation to prevent domestic violence will soon come into effect. Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Nalinda Jayatissa shared this information during a press conference today (27) to announce recent Cabinet decisions.
The government intends to introduce and amend various laws specifically related to the affairs of women and children. Key components of this legal overhaul include addressing online crimes against minors and establishing a robust legal framework to combat domestic abuse. These measures represent a broader effort to modernise protections for vulnerable groups in society.
