Sri Lanka, July 19 -- The new education reforms will place greater emphasis on vocational education, according to Dr. Ashoka de Silva, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Education.
He made these remarks today (19) during a programme in Galle led by the Prime Minister, aimed at briefing Southern Province education authorities on the new reforms.
The government is currently focusing on introducing these new educational reforms, which involve significant changes to Sri Lanka's education system.
The new reform programme has been unveiled, and education authorities plan to implement it from next January.
