Sri Lanka, June 1 -- Secretary to the Ministry of Health Dr. Anil Jasinghe announced that two circulars pertaining to Covid-19 will be issued swiftly.
Dr. Jasinghe noted that one circular will target the general public, while the other will be for health staff, providing comprehensive information on the virus.
This comes as a COVID-19 spread is being observed in some Asian countries, including India and Thailand.
Neighbouring India has reported over 3,000 cases in the past 10 days, with 685 new infections and four deaths in the last 24 hours alone.
Two sub-variants of the Omicron strain of COVID, currently spreading in Asia, have also been identified in Sri Lanka.
