Sri Lanka, Jan. 14 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake appointed Attorney Manoj Nanayakkara as the new Chief Scout Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association. The appointment followed the provisions of the Boy Scouts Association Act No. 13 of 1957.
The Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kuranayake, handed over the official appointment letter yesterday (13) afternoon at the Presidential Secretariat. Nanayakkara began his scouting journey in 1989 as a Cub Scout in the 1st Homagama Scout Group at Christ King College, Pannipitiya.
