Sri Lanka, Jan. 8 -- Chief Opposition Whip Gayantha Karunathillekahas announced that nearly fifty opposition members of Parliament have already signed the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. More signatures are expected to be added throughout the day (08).
The motion is scheduled to be formally handed over to Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne tomorrow (09).
The opposition decided to bring forward this motion against the Prime Minister in her capacity as the Minister of Education.
