Sri Lanka, Dec. 20 -- Police Headquarters says that under the "A Nation United" programme, 896 drug raids were carried out islandwide during the past month as part of a drug prevention operation, leading to the arrest of 846 suspects.

Among them, 10 suspects are currently being detained for questioning, while another 10 suspects have been referred for rehabilitation, Police Headquarters said.

As a result of these raids, authorities recovered 319 grams of heroin, 338 grams of crystal meth ("Ice"), 2 grams of cocaine, 193 grams of cannabis, 44 narcotic pills, as well as Kush, hashish, and other drugs.
