Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- The National Dengue Control Campaign has reported 4,943 dengue cases in Sri Lanka before the end of January, along with two dengue-related deaths during the month.
Sixteen high-risk dengue zones have been identified, with the highest number of cases recorded in the Gampaha district at 764. The Colombo district reported 674 cases, while the Colombo Municipal Council area accounted for 608 cases.
Additionally, 315 cases were reported from Galle, 303 from Kandy, 278 from Batticaloa, and 201 from Jaffna. Authorities continue to monitor and implement measures to control the spread of the disease.
