Srilanka, Dec. 15 -- The Nawalapitiya-Kandy main road, which suffered a landslide due to the Ditwa cyclone, reopened this morning (15) after 18 days.
However, the Road Development Authority (RDA) is asking drivers to practice caution on the road until a permanent solution is implemented for the earth mound above the road, as there is a risk of further landslides.
The road repair work involved personnel from the Road Development Authority and officers from the Nawalapitiya and Ethgala police forces.
