Sri Lanka, Sept. 4 -- Naval lifesavers successfully rescued two people who were drowning in the sea at Nilaveli, Gopalapuram.

The individuals, aged 16 and 18, are residents of the Kandy area.

The two were swimming with a group when they got into trouble.

Lifesavers on duty at the beach noticed they were in distress, immediately took action, and brought them to safety.

After providing basic first aid, the rescued individuals were handed over to their family.
