Sri Lanka, Jan. 22 -- The Government Medical Officers' Association declared a token strike at the Colombo National Eye Hospital starting at 8 o'clock this morning.

This industrial action will last for 24 hours.

The association stated that the move comes as a protest against the conduct of the hospital's acting director.

Medical services expect significant disruptions during this period as the labour dispute remains unresolved.
