Sri Lanka, June 12 -- The Ministry of Agriculture today (12) officially released the results of the National Animal Census conducted on March 15, revealing significant wild animal populations across Sri Lanka.
According to the report:
Toque Monkeys: 5.17 million
Langurs: 1.74 million
Giant Squirrels : 2.66 million
Peacocks: 4.24 million
The census provides critical data for wildlife management and conservation planning.
