Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- National People's Power (NPP) Member of Parliament, Nilanthi Kottahachchi, has stated that the person appearing with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa in a photograph circulating on social media is not her.

The Member of Parliament made this clarification via a post on social media.

She explicitly stated that she is not the person in the photograph circulating with the former President.

She also mentioned that she did not attend the wedding ceremony referred to on former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's official Facebook page and that she was not invited to the event.

Kottahachchi further warned that if the photograph has been edited or doctored in any way, she will pursue legal action regarding the matter.
