Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- Jaffna District MP Ramanathan Archuna settled an incident where he damaged a security officer's mobile phone at the Colombo District Secretariat.
Narahenpita Police reported that the MP arrived at the Secretariat yesterday (02) to visit the Parliamentary Affairs Division. Security officers at the main gate, failing to recognise the MP, informed him that his vehicle could not enter the premises. This led to a confrontation when the MP forcibly drove his car onto the grounds and parked.
During the ensuing verbal dispute, the MP reportedly struck a mobile phone held by one of the security officers, causing damage. While both parties initially lodged complaints via the 119 emergency hotline, the matter was later resolve...
