Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- MP Archuna Ramanathan has been released on bail after being produced before the Anuradhapura Magistrate's Court.

He was arrested on charges of obstructing police officers in their duties by driving a vehicle without a valid driver's license and threatening them with criminal force.

Police Media Spokesperson SSP Buddhika Manathunga stated that a special police team arrested the MP in Jaffna following the incident, which occurred near the Galwala junction in Anuradhapura.
