Sri Lanka, June 24 -- Amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, 17 Sri Lankan nationals working in Israel have registered to travel on a special flight from Amman Airport to New Delhi, operated by the Indian government. This flight is scheduled to depart from Amman tomorrow, the 25th of June.
In a social media update, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, stated that an additional 20 Sri Lankan nationals in Israel have registered to return to Sri Lanka via Egypt in the coming days, with five already having arrived. Ambassador Bandara also noted that 219 Sri Lankan citizens who had returned to Sri Lanka from Israel are now preparing to go back.
