Sri Lanka, Aug. 29 -- The Bribery Commission informed the court today (29) that it has named former Minister Rajitha Senaratne as the second suspect in a case where the government allegedly incurred a loss of over Rs.20 million.

The charge is related to a sand dredging project at the Kirinda Fisheries Harbour, which was awarded to a Korean company during his tenure as Minister of Fisheries.

The former minister was remanded by the Colombo High Court today in connection with a different case.

Subsequently, prison officials produced him before the Colombo Magistrate's Court, where Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama ordered that he be remanded until September 9.
