Sri Lanka, July 16 -- A programme to provide a monthly allowance of 5,000 rupees to children under institutional care or guardianship, as well as street children, commenced yesterday (15).

Speaking at the launch event held at Sethsiripaya in Battaramulla, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya stated that children released from probation care should not experience any social discrimination after leaving these institutions.
