Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- US fashion brand Michael Kors has donated USD$2.7 million to support the well-being of children and farmers in Sri Lanka.

The significant funding, made through the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), is earmarked to bolster Sri Lanka's national school meals programme and support local agriculture.

The donation comes via the brand's long-running 'Watch Hunger Stop' campaign and will specifically contribute to the WFP's Home-Grown School Feeding (HGSF) initiative.

This investment is set to have a substantial impact over the next three years.
