Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding ongoing hot weather conditions affecting several areas of the island today. The Northern, North Central, North Western, Western, and Southern provinces, along with the Ratnapura and Monaragala districts, are particularly affected.
The department advises individuals to stay hydrated at work and to take special care of the elderly and sick at home. Parents are cautioned not to leave young children unattended in vehicles.
