Sri Lanka, March 24 -- Former minister Mervyn Silva and two other suspects have been further remanded until April 3 by the Mahara magistrate's court.
The Criminal Investigation Department arrested Silva and three others on March 5 in connection with the alleged sale of government land in the Kiribathgoda area using forged deeds.
After being produced before the Mahara magistrate on the same day, Silva was initially remanded until March 17. The court has now extended their remand until April 3.
