Srilanka, Nov. 18 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (18) ordered the release on bail of a suspect who was remanded for allegedly posing as an officer of the Bribery Commission using a fake identity card and misleading police officers.
The Magistrate ordered the suspect to be released on two personal bail bonds of Rs. 500,000 each and also imposed a travel ban on him.
The individual released on bail is Chanaka Anuruddha Bandara, a resident of the Dehiattakandiya area.
Presenting facts regarding the incident, the Bribery Commission told the court that a car driven by the suspect met with an accident near a hospital in the Polonnaruwa area recently.
