Sri Lanka, Aug. 30 -- A 58-year-old man has died and two others were injured in two separate wild elephant attacks reported this morning in the Serunuwara and Ampara areas.
Police stated that the fatal incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. in Thanganagar, Serunuwara, when a wild elephant attacked a hut, killing the man inside.
In the second incident, a woman and a child were injured in the Bandaraduwa area of Ampara.
A wild elephant damaged a house, causing a wall to collapse and fall on the victims.
Both injured individuals have been admitted to Ampara Hospital for treatment.
