Sri Lanka, May 25 -- The remains of the late veteran actress and "Queen of Sinhala Cinema," Malini Fonseka, has now been brought to the National Film Corporation for public homage.

Her remains are currently placed at the Tharangani Hall of the National Film Corporation..

The final rites, with state honours, are scheduled to take place tomorrow afternoon (26) at the Independence Square premises in Colombo.

Having been ill for some time, Fonseka passed away yesterday morning (24) while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

She was 78 years old at the time of her demise.
