Sri Lanka, March 10 -- Multiple fatalities reported in road accidents

A mother, her baby, and another woman have died in a collision involving a private bus and a three-wheeler in the Irattakulam area of Madampe on the Chilaw-Colombo road.

Police revealed that nine people, including the driver, were in the three-wheeler at the time of the accident. The victims include a 32-year-old mother, her one-year-old baby, and a 36-year-old woman from Minuwangoda and Ragama. They were returning from the annual festival of St. Anne's Church in Thalawila when the accident occurred. The bus driver has been arrested.
