Sri Lanka, Feb. 19 -- A luxury bus transporting a group of teachers from Kilinochchi to Jaffna was forcibly stopped and attacked by a group of thugs in the Palai area today (18).

According to police, four teachers sustained injuries in the assault. The attackers, who showed no remorse, shouted loudly while attacking the passengers.

Hearing the commotion, a group of villagers rushed to the scene, prompting the assailants to flee on motorcycles. As they were wearing helmets, the victims were unable to identify them.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the Palai police have launched an investigation.
