SriLanka, Feb. 20 -- Severe lightning accompanied by thundershowers is highly likely in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces this afternoon (20).

The Department of Meteorology issued this advisory, which remains valid until 11:00 PM tonight.

Temporary strong winds may also occur in these areas during thundershowers, according to the official statement.
