Sri Lanka, April 26 -- A 63-year-old man has died after being struck by lightning in Aralaganwila.

The incident occurred in the Kekulawela area of Aralaganwila while the victim was working in a paddy field.

Police have identified the deceased as a resident of Kekuluwela.At the time of the incident, another individual was present and sustained injuries.

This person has been admitted to the Aralaganwila Hospital for treatment.
