Sri Lanka, July 28 -- The Department of Meteorology forcasted several spells of light showers in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, and in the districts of Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara.

Fairly strong winds, reaching speeds of about 40 kmph, can be expected at times over the Western slopes of the central hills, as well as in the North-central and North-western provinces, and in the Hambantota district.
