Sri Lanka, July 26 -- Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Minister of Health and Mass Media, announced in Parliament yesterday (25) that the licences of 82 pharmacies have been suspended due to a lack of proper standards.

He made this statement in response to a question raised by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.

The Minister further stated that the licence renewals for an additional 219 pharmacies have also been temporarily halted.
