Sri Lanka, May 30 -- The cremation ceremony of the late Venerable Bandarawela Amithananda Thera, a respected teacher and Tripitakacharya, will be held this sunday (1) at the Olcott Stadium in Dompe.

The eloquent preacher, Venerable Bandarawela Amithananda Thero was 62 years old when he passed away.

The Thera, who had been ill for a long time, had been receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital for almost a year and a half.

The remains of Thera have been placed at the Kalyana Dharma Ashrama Temple in Dompe.
