Sri Lanka, April 25 -- Despite restrictions being in place with only two days remaining of the exposition of the Tooth Relic, the Senior DIG in charge of the Central Province, Lalith Pathinayake, has reported that approximately 63,000 new individuals joined the queues yesterday (24) alone.
He clarified, however, that only those who have been issued with identification stickers and are currently within the queues will be permitted to worship the Sacred Tooth Relic over the next two days.
Today (25) marks the eighth day of the pilgrimage.
An estimated 90,000 devotees were able to venerate the relic yesterday (24).
