Sri Lanka, Jan. 16 -- The Lanka Ride cycling tour, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, commenced today (16).

The race officially flagged off at 9:00 am near the Lake House premises in Colombo.

The first stage of the tour is scheduled to conclude in Gannoruwa, Kandy.

According to the event itinerary, the race will proceed from Gannoruwa to Anuradhapura tomorrow (17).

The cycling tour is set to reach its conclusion on Sunday (18), with the final leg running from Anuradhapura to Independence Square in Colombo.
